my daily routine disrupted by corona outbreak
Yesterday it was sunny and mild. Time has flown so fast. Really, as I get older, it feels like time flies.
This last winter, due to the corona outbreak, many people's lives have been totally disrupted. My daily routine has been disrupted also. Staying at home normally if possible, I have gained much weight. When I try to take excercise, I feel quite heavy compared to the past. Even though I took a walk just a short distance, I sweated and I felt a littel bit of difficulty in breathing.
It is a little relief that the number of confirmed patients is slowing down a bit. Never did I anticipate this kind of epidemic spread all around the country as well as around the whole world. It seems that now the other countries are facing the scary surge of the outbreak, including the US and UK, Iran, etc. I heard the news that alsmot a quarter of the population of Italy was kind of self isolated by the government. I cannot imagine how devastating it would be felt there.
Every now and then I felt frightened and confined whenever I heard the bad and desperate news about the corona virus situation. It was like a war, though it does not involve a gun shooting and bloodshed.
Even I tried to imagine how terrified and grave my parents' generation would have felt when the real war had broken out in the 1950s. It must have been felt 100 times more frightening than this covid 19 incidents. Thank God, I and my generation and all people in Korea did not experience, did not go through a real horrible war, though there have been serious conflicts and tensions in this peninsula.
