From Hush, Misery to May; Reviews on some psycho pathological horror movies

루디아난 2019. 9. 20. 21:59

I am taking a rest today. Actually from the day before yesterday I have enjoyed holiday, doing not many things. So I could watch some movie clips on the youtube for fun. The titles are as follows, Hush. Greta or madame psycho, and may, audition or starry eyes. These movies were not famous, i guess. Not widely known..
But the stories or plots were very astonishing and shocking. I gather hush was the best and well made movies among them. The main protagonist was a deaf woman and novelist. As she was deaf, she could not notice an intruder, a horrible killer. When the killer found out the waman is deaf, he kind of played game with her, enjoying harming her. But though she was deaf, she was courageous and she tried very hard to escape and beat tbe killer. At last she won, killing the bastard. This movie showed very limited scenes such as her house and just the vicinity. And scripts or talkkng scenes were very rare. It was a very impressive movie. The waman was smart enough to write real truth of the incident at the end of her novel on the computer, for fear she might be misunderstood..
Greta was also a very intriguing and well made movie. It showed the fact that a stranger's kindness and goodwill can be exploited and used badly. Though Greta looked beautiful and elegant, she used to abuse her own daughter. That was not cured, I guess. Moreover, she intended to have people near herself, by force and using schemes. It is nothing less than a crime and obsession...
I also watched Misery, whch is like an exemplary horror movie since Alfred Hithcock...It is based on a novel, and I watched it in the past. It was very impressive, shocking and thrilling. Actress Cathy Bates' acting was so real and thrilling that I took her for a really mentally ill wonan. It showed an obsession, violence and perverted love, full of suspenses. I noticed that Rachmaninov's piano concerto was used in this fabulius movie.
